Family Values In the theme, Everyday Use, author Alice pram uses slushy everyday items, and how the characters use these items on a free-and-easy basis, to portray the true meaning of family values. mammy and Maggie on maven give way knowing all some their heritage and Dee on the other not knowing much, each have got different views on the value and worth of the items in their lives, and the story illustrates how it is Dee(Wangero), and not Maggie and Mama, who is wiped out(p) about her family heritage.
